Sometime in the latter half of the 20th century, my parents unleashed me (kicking and screaming I might add), onto this unsuspecting planet....quite likely against their better judgment.
Several unremarkable years passed as I set my adolescence and high school years on autopilot, engaging myself in the standard activities that were common for a teenager growing up in the early 1970's. While some may call those days misspent or misplaced, I prefer to think of it as "experience".
After wandering aimlessly in the wilderness (apparently under the delusion that life would simply open up and let me pick and choose my options), I decided to venture to college in Brantford, Ontario to get some education in the field of drafting. After working a few years in Brantford, I returned to Petawawa.
The next 13 years were spent as a draftsperson with the Dept. of National Defence. I found this increasingly frustrating, so I sought to strike out on my own.
My initial attempt at self-sufficiency, was a short lived journey into 3D modeling and animation. While interesting, I found that I had neither the resources or, more importantly, the talent to make anything of it.
It did, however, lead to the occasional gig teaching some CAD and computer graphic software with a local company that was one of the first in the area to be an ISP and site provider. It was with them that I began first creating graphics for web sites, and then finding that I had "some" talent in putting the whole package together.
The rest is, as they say, history. Boring and uninteresting history, but history nonetheless.
