When approached to develop your website, we'll first arrange to meet you and go over your requirements. At this point you're not committed to anything.
When an agreement on the best approach is reached, we'll give you a price based on the factors included throughout this section. If agreed on, $300.00 advance fee is required to register your domain, set up, hosting and develop your basic design concept.
How Much Will It Cost In Total?
Choose your preferred method of cost estimating from the various tabs at left.
After you approve the basic design concept, we'll build your complete site and get you launched. In most cases, you won't pay the remainder until the job is completely finished, however, if your job is a large drawn out project, (over a month or 2 while information is compiled and/or created) some interim payments may be required.
Please note that, at Mediawerx we always try to be as flexible as possible to meet your particular needs, therefore not everything is cast in stone. If you need special considerations, we'll always try to accommodate.
Starter Site Package: $700.00 - (which inludes the initial $300 down payment....therefore $300 down and remaining $400 on completion)

- Custom website design up to 6 pages (you provide the content)
- ***Unlimited photos you provide

Medium Site Package: $1000.00- (which inludes the initial $300 down payment....therefore $300 down and remaining $700 on completion)

Large Site Packages: Contact us to determine needs and calculate costs.
An outdated website is a useless website. Sometimes keeping your site up to date is a simple matter, while other times it can be a heavy chore. Fortunately there are plenty of options on how to manage the task of keeping things current.
- If we build and host your site for you, and you only require occasional updates to the current content, the cost of those updates is covered in your annual renewal fee...essentially making these types of updates free. Our standard annual renewal for hosting and domain name renewal is $175.00 pre-paid for 1 year, or $300.00 pre-paid for 2 years. (minor updates included)
- If you require on-going maintenance and updates, budget for $40.00 per hr...therefore if you expect 1 hr per month updating, your annual fee would be ... ( 12 x $40 = $480.00...for updating) plus $175.00 name renewal and hosting. If you pay for 1 year up front, then you can get 2 months free (ie: pay only for 10 instead of 12). Therefore, $175 + $400 (instead of $480) for 1 year in advance.
If you require more updating than the above, and expect it to be quite time consuming, consider the folowing...
- We can work out a mutually agreeable contractual system to suit your budget
- We can develop a CMS (Content Management System) method for you to do your own updates (discussion required to determine the best approach for you)
- You could purchase your own content management software (such as Adobe Contribute) and we'd happily train you to use it.
It should be noted that development of a CMS would likely be more costly for you than actually purchasing your own.
Probably the most commonly asked question is "can we have this or can we have that?" Of course, there are numerous features that can be built into any web site, either at the beginning or added later. Included here is a list of site tools and features, and how they affect design costs based on their individual complexities.
Most business sites, start with the static page. If you've never had a web site, odds are you'll be looking to have something static to start with (a brochure type of site) But static is limited, and you may find that you need a few special features. Normally, 1 or 2 of these features can be included within your base price (if you choose a package), but some can't so the following is a list of features and whether they can be included within a package base price.
Your site may contain 1 or 2 of the following (without affecting your cost)
- System of Comments
- Calendar System
- Feedback/Survey Form
- Basic Private Members' Area (with single password for all members)
- Newsletter subscription and, creation and mailing system.
- Photo Gallery (max 40 pics)
- Video (provided that you provide it) Multiple videos would be at additional cost
- Site Stats
- Site Search (keyword search), likely only required for larger sites.
- Some PDF Conversion
The following would have to be added to your cost if you need them, and likely would need to be billed hourly.
- Database Integration and scripting. (time consuming, and testing heavy)
- 360 degree panorama....requires additional travel and specific photos in order to create
- Shopping Cart - based on size and method of preferred transaction
- Large PDF conversion projects
Obviously not every website can be pigeon-holed into a package, so you can use the price list below, to determine how your custom requirements would affect your overall cost. Simply start at Step 1. and add the costs as you add the individual features you may require. This should give you a ballpark cost so you can weigh your needs against your budget.
Step 1. $300.00 (payable when hired)
Register your domain name, set up hosting for one year, and create the initial design "concept" (site map, basic look and feel). When you're happy with this (it normally takes no more than 3-4 days), move to step2.
Step 2. (Individual costs)
If you're not sure how big your site will be, or what you can afford to include, the individual costing below will give you a better idea. Normally, we can find ways to reduce your costs, but if you give consideration to all your needs, you sould be able to determine your maximum spending limit.
- Static content pages - $80.00 per page.
- Discussion Forum - $100.00
- Calendar (that you can manage) - $100.00
- Database integration - $40.00 per hr
- Survey Forms - $100.00 ea
- Newsletter & Mailing list integration - $100.00
- 360 degree panorama - $125.00 plus travel time for photography
- Photo Galleries - $100.00 per (maximum 40 photos per)
- Flash, Multimedia, Video, Audio - $40.00 per hr
- PDF document conversion - variable due to document sizes, and whether internal navigation etc. is required
